Oil pumps

WINTER, as an experienced packager for the oil & gas industry, provides oil pump packages as well, using API 676 screw oil pumps. The packaged oil pumps are from a leading European manufacturer, which assures the highest quality of the product for our clients. Additionally, we can supply triple screw oil pumps for standard refrigeration applications, usually direct out of our stock. All of the WINTER packages are designed according to the international standards APIASME, PED, AD 2000, GOST, etc

Our packages are manufactured and assembled in our own WINTER workshop facilitated with industrial standards, which guarantees the best quality of the client’s package.

Oil Pumps

In industrial refrigeration systems, oil pumps are used to circulate oil through the compressor to provide lubrication and cooling. These pumps are specifically designed to handle the viscosity and temperature requirements of refrigeration compressor oil.

The oil pump in a refrigeration system is typically driven by the compressor itself or by an electric motor. The oil pump draws oil from the oil sump and delivers it to the compressor bearings, where it lubricates and cools the moving parts. The oil then returns to the oil sump, where it is filtered and recirculated.

The oil pump in a refrigeration system plays a critical role in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of the compressor. The oil not only lubricates the moving parts of the compressor but also helps to cool the compressor and remove heat from the refrigerant. Over time, the oil can become contaminated with debris and moisture, which can degrade its performance and increase the risk of compressor failure. Regular maintenance, such as oil changes and filter replacements, can help to ensure the proper functioning of the oil pump and the compressor.

  • Oil pumps in industrial refrigeration systems are typically positive displacement pumps, which means that they move a fixed volume of oil with each stroke. This type of pump is well-suited for handling the thick, viscous oil used in refrigeration compressors.
  • The oil pump is typically located in the oil sump or at the bottom of the compressor, where it can draw oil from the bottom of the sump and deliver it to the compressor bearings.
  • In some refrigeration systems, multiple oil pumps may be used to ensure proper oil circulation and cooling. For example, a larger compressor may require multiple oil pumps to handle the increased oil flow.
  • The performance of the oil pump can be affected by various factors, such as the viscosity and temperature of the oil, the pressure differential across the pump, and the condition of the pump components. Regular maintenance, such as monitoring oil levels and pressure, and replacing worn or damaged components, can help to ensure the proper functioning of the oil pump.
  • In addition to their lubricating and cooling function, some oil pumps in industrial refrigeration systems may also be equipped with features such as oil level sensors, pressure gauges, and temperature sensors to monitor and control oil flow and temperature.

Overall, oil pumps are an essential component of industrial refrigeration systems, and they help to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of these systems.
