  3. This system uses two separate refrigeration cycles to achieve the low temperatures required to condense natural gas into a liquid.
  4. The first cycle uses a refrigerant with a low boiling point to cool the gas down to around -40°C.
  5. The second cycle uses a refrigerant with an even lower boiling point to achieve the final temperature of around -160°C, which is required to liquefy the gas.
